
FAMILY ministry intern
Description of Role:
A part-time, paid internship that spans the first semester of 2023 with the possibility of continuing. The Family Ministry Intern supports children’s ministry and participates in monthly mentoring with an assigned church leader, all aimed at gaining valuable ministry training, discipleship experience, and volunteer hours.

Support Foundry Kids program
Time Requirements:
6-8 hours per month
Interns will be assigned two Sundays per month where they will: arrive at 8:45 AM to set up rooms, lead their assigned role during the 10 AM service, and help with post-service tear down (typically till around 11:45 AM)
Age Requirements:
age 13 - 19
Responsibilities and Expectations:
1) Mentoring with Church Leader
Family Pastor will assign an appropriate mentor from Foundry Church
Monthly meet ups for training and discipleship
2) Twice-a-month Leadership Assignment
Interns will be assigned two Sundays a month to serve in some capacity in children’s ministry (elementary small group leader, preschool assistant, nursery help, etc.)
Set an example as a stellar leader by modeling great leadership behavior (arriving on time, coming prepared, etc)
Connect with kids and drive engagement, help keep all students on task
3) Remain Flexible
Flexibility is key. People call in sick. Needs come up last minute. Be ready to have your Sunday assignments shift.
Advocate for your needs, even among the ministry needs.
4) Set up and Tear Down
On your assigned weeks, arrive at 8:45 AM to help set up children’s ministry spaces
After church, help tear down the three kids ministry spaces
Compensation:
$100 per month
